We hope that you have had a restful Winter Break and are ready to get into the classroom to put your learning into action. As you know, you'll be responsible for posting a weekly reflection that will serve as an ongoing conversation between you, your peers, and Kate and myself (Cacey).
Remember to:
- Post a reflection of your week by Friday at 5:00 PM. The title of each blog post you make should include the week number and a creative title. In these posts, answer the following questions:
- What is one thing that surprised, puzzled, or frustrated you this week?
- How has your teaching practice improved this week? After the first week, you should refer to the plan for improvement you made the previous week.
- What is your plan for improving your practice moving forward? Please review the evaluation forms used for student teaching to help you identify areas of improvement.
For
these posts, please be sure to follow the Family Educational Rights and Privacy
Act (FERPA) guidelines.
- Respond to at least two other teacher-intern posts by 10PM Sunday night by either posing powerful questions, offering constructive criticism, or suggesting a means of improvement.
- Reply to the questions, criticism, or suggestions made to you by your fellow teacher interns and university supervisors by Wednesday at 10PM.
We're looking forward to hearing about your experiences this semester. If you have questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us!
Cacey
